Reports of police operation in Normacot area 27/03/2026

Police attended Normacot area on Friday 27th March 2026, due to recent concerns raised in the area for vehicles driving dangerously and causing parking issues in the area. 3 tickets were given for vehicles left in a dangerous position and causing obstruction to the road. Another ticket was given for a driver being on there mobile phone whilst driving on Lightwood Road. 

Adult male sighted on Belgrave Rd riding at speed and dodging pedestrians. Despite opinions these are not road legal as they require a Driving Licence and Insurance. Male stopped and reported for offences as had none.  That's 9 points for him.

This off-road bike was being ridden around the Lightwood area of by a male with:

* No licence
* No insurance
* Twice the drink drive limit

The bike has been seized and the rider went to custody.  We know this kind of danger is a concern to local residents and will continue to deal with it.
